Abstract
Current Situation and Political and Economic Problems of the Turks in Georgia
Turks of Georgia, who mostly live in the easternmost Borçalı region of the country, faced to new problems, that arose after the liberation of Georgia, as the old problems were remaining unsolved. They were heavily discriminated by ethnic Georgian practices carried out by the once Gamsahurdia regime, and the succeeding Şevardnadze government did not make any contribution to improve the Turks' situation.<
