Abstract

A FEW EXAMPLES OF THE STATE, LAW, OBEDIENCE AND INSURRECTION IN THE MIDDLE-AGE
Law is one of the most crucial factors affecting people’s lives and is, therefore, the basis of the society in peace and security with respect to its rules that guarantee the social-order, its coercive or compelling structure and its key-role in the provision of man’s benefits or interests. And the state is in a position of a judge who acts lıke an arm or a wing for the implementation of the law and who establish peace and reconciliation in a society by preserving human rights and freedoms. One of the most significant obstacles which threaten the continuity and authority of a state is the attempt to rebel against the government or the poiltical power. In the Middle-Age, too, could be seen a lot of groups or communities in the Turkish an Islamic states, which rebelled against the state by ignoring or by-passing the law. In this study, the focus is on what measures the states had taken to tackle the issue of riots, what policies they followed to pacify the rebellions and how they managed to make those who had the possibility of rebelling serve in their favor against the rebellions. <
