Abstract
The Analysis of Black Sea Security Phenomena
Due to the interests and expectations of the global and regional powers the Black Sea region has recently been the focus of a growing interest. This focus of interest transforms the Black Sea to center of contention and competition, In particular, the region's proximity to the to the Caspian Basin which has the second largest capacity of energy resources in the world after the Middle East, and its being center of line of energy transmission from east to west have increased the strategic importance of this region. It is asserted that policies to be established in spirit of cooperation towards the region could turn the Black Sea into region a region of peace, security and prosperity. Otherwise, the increasing power struggle may destabilize the region, as they could nourish the opposing policies. In this context, in the first part of article, security phenomenon will be analyzed and the security of Black will be assessed. Subsequently, the Black Sea will be reviewed in terms of energy security. After the examining the expectations and objectives of global powers and discussion the regional security risks the article will be concluded by an evaluation.
